Breast implants can sometimes make it more challenging to obtain clear mammogram images, as they can obscure some of the breast tissue. However, specialized techniques, such as Eklund displacement views, can be used to promote accurate mammogram results in women with implants. It's essential to inform your mammography technician that you have breast implants so they can take appropriate steps to obtain the best images possible.
How soon can I resume exercise after breast augmentation?
Most patients return to light activities within a week or two after surgery. Some patients are feeling good enough to resume working at desk jobs and doing light chores in as little as a week. You will need to avoid strenuous activities, including heavy lifting and vigorous exercise, for four to six weeks in order to prevent complications.
